Individual Therapy Services

Individual Therapy Services

Inner Balance Therapy provides individual therapy for adults (18+) who are navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, trauma, and major life transitions. Many clients describe feeling stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or difficulty setting boundaries. Therapy can help you understand what’s driving these patterns and begin to feel more grounded and steady in daily life.

Areas I Help With

People reach out for many reasons. Common concerns include:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Burnout and emotional exhaustion

  • Trauma and PTSD symptoms

  • Boundaries, people-pleasing, and perfectionism

  • Life transitions and identity shifts

  • Pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood stress

  • Low self-esteem and harsh self-criticism

  • Relationship stress and repeating patterns

My Approach

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I take a warm, collaborative approach that balances practical support with deeper work.

Along with tools you can use day-to-day, I also work from a psychodynamic lens to understand the roots of what you’re experiencing—how past experiences, relationships, and familiar patterns may still be shaping the present. I’m EMDR-trained and integrate trauma-informed care at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Depending on your goals, our work may include:

  • Building coping tools for anxiety and stress

  • Strengthening boundaries and reducing people-pleasing

  • Working through perfectionism and self-criticism

  • Processing trauma and experiences that feel stuck

  • Support during major life transitions, including pregnancy and postpartum

In-Person Therapy and Telehealth

  • In-person therapy: Cottonwood Heights, UT

  • Telehealth: Secure sessions for clients located in Utah

  • Session length: 50 minutes

If you’re not sure which option is best, we can talk through what fits your schedule and goals.

Insurance and Rates

Self-pay: $160 per session

Insurance: In-network with EMI Health, University of Utah Health Plans (UUHP), and Aetna.

If you plan to use insurance, your out-of-pocket cost depends on your plan (copay, coinsurance, and deductible). If you would like, we can help verify benefits before your first session so you know what to expect.

What to Expect

Many people start therapy feeling unsure about what they need or where to begin. That’s okay. We’ll clarify goals together and move at a pace that feels manageable. Over time, therapy can help you feel more steady, more confident in your choices, and more connected in your relationships and daily life.
